Facebook for UC Browser – an alternative for facebook app

Facebook has 1.44 billion monthly active users (Wikipedia) which make it the biggest social network. You can access it on many devices from your Personal Computer to your phone with internet connection. On android phones, you can access FB through your browser or the official app created by facebook. But many people complaining about the app which takes a big amount of their smartphone storage and memory, so they use browser instead of the app. This might not be a bummer for those who own smartphones with flagship specifications, but for those who don’t, it certainly is.

Recently, UC Browser is working with facebook to provide users with real-time Facebook notifications in addition to a “Browse Facebook Faster” add-on. This will allow users to get instant facebook push notifications right on their phones just as they would with facebook app (without installing any app or add-on).

To enable this feature, make sure you have downloaded the latest version of UC Browser from Google Play Store and log in to your facebook account then you will start getting push notifications on your phone. The good news is you can customize notifications you want to receive by selecting Add-ons > Facebook > Notification Settings on UC Browser menu that will refer you to the setting page where you can simply enable/disable the type of push notifications like messages, friend requests and many more. You will receive real-time notifications even if you closed the app! keep in mind that this feature will not work while in incognito mode.

I have been using this app on my phone and it works well, it’s fast and resources friendly so I recommend you to give it a try and I bet you’ll love it.
